Islam’s View of the United States (2)

Victor M. Eskew

In our last lesson, it was clear that the religion of Islam is constantly carrying out evil actions against the citizens of the United States.  Their actions are indicative that their hearts are filled with hate for the United States.  When President George Bush addressed joint-session of Congress on September 20, 2011 after the horrific destruction of the World Trade Center buildings, he said:  “Americans are asking:  ‘Why do they hate us?’”  In this article, we want to provide some answers to this question.

First, they hate the United States because we stand as the major obstacle in their way of world domination.  The Qur’an teaches that Islam is supposed to conquer every other religion.  “He who has sent his Messenger forth with the guidance and the religion of truth, to make it triumph over every religion, even though the idolaters may be averse to it” (Qur’an 61:9).  In an article entitled, “Why Muslims Hate America,” the writer makes this comment:  “Of all the nations on the Earth they hate America the most.  The truth is Muslims do not hate us for our freedoms…they despised and attack us because we are the single strongest infidel and therefore a most formidable impediment to their goal of world domination” (www.plancksconstant.org, “Why Americans Hate America,” Bernie Plancks).

Second, they hate the United States because of the teachings of the Qur’an about the “kafir.”  The Qur’an uses the words kafir, kaffur, and kufr 470 times in 451 verses.  The word means “to cover.”  Thus, a kafir is one who hides, denies, or covers the truth of Islam.  Thus, a kafir is an unbeliever.  To show how they feel about unbelievers, let’s note three verses found in the Qur’an.  First, kafirs are said to be partners of Satan.  “And still they worship others beside Allah who can neither help nor hurt them.  The Kafir is Satan’s ally against Allah” (Qur’an 25:55).  Second, kafirs are hated.  “They {Kafirs] who dispute the signs [Koran verses] of Allah without authority having reached them are greatly hated by Allah and the believers.  So Allah seals up every arrogant, disdainful heart” (Qur’an 40:35).  Third, kafirs can be killed.  “If they do not keep away from you or offer peace or withdraw their hostilities, then seize them and kill them wherever they are.  We give you complete authority over them” (Qur’an 4:91).  Remember, the Qur’an is their holy book.  It contains the teachings that come from Allah himself.  In other words, the statements that we have read are how Allah feels about the unbelievers.

Third, they hate us because our laws run contrary to their laws.  They desire the implementation of sharia law in the United States.  They believe that it is the only true law.  A poll was taken by the Center for Security Policy and 51% of Muslims who live in the United States said they should be allowed to be governed by sharia law.  As long as our Constitution stands, they will refer to it as “our” law, even though they consider themselves citizens of the United States.

Fourth, they hate us because we maintain a U.S. presence in Saudi Arabia.  What they see is the kafirs are on holy ground.  The ground they occupy belongs to Allah.  The presence of the U.S. military defiles their land they believe.

Fifth, they hate us because we support Israel.  Islam has been at war with the Jews since the days of Muhammad.  They did not accept Muhammad as the final prophet of God.  This hatred continues to this day.  As an ally of Israel, we become the enemy of Allah and Islam.

Sixth, they hate the United States because of what they call “American arrogance.”  We are said to act as if our culture, our government, our laws, our economy, and our traditions are the only true way to live.  Their way of life is diametrically opposed to ours.  Our attempts to help other countries rise to a better way of life are seen are arrogant.  There is no doubt that the United States is proud of its heritage, but it does not go around forcing others to adopt our ideology.  It is interesting that Islam forces itself on others.  Who is truly arrogant?

Seventh, they hate us because of our immorality.  Our manner of dress, our music, our movies, the presence of the homosexual lifestyle, our drunkenness, and our support of abortion are viewed by the Muslims as repulsive.  They constantly point out how carnal and immoral our society is.  They believe that their religion has an extremely high standard of morality.  We could stop at this point and debate this idea for several pages.  We wonder how a religion that promotes the murder of innocents, the abuse of women and children, advocates polygamy, teaches easy divorce, lying, and engages in jihad all over the world could look at us as more immoral than they, but they do.

Eighth, they hate us because they envy our wealth and power.  The religion of Islam survives on both of these things.  Wealth and power give nations authority over others.  Islam wants our wealth and power.  They will do all they can to obtain it.  Note what the inspired writer said about envy.  “Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who can stand before envy?” (Prov. 27:4).

Ninth, they also hate us because of their “jihad mentality.”  Islam is allowed to spread its religion by force.  The Qur’an teaches that this is acceptable.  It is acceptable to go to war, to kill and murder unbelievers, and to make slaves out of enemies.  Muhammad used these methods to subjugate others while he was alive.  He is their “perfect man;” he is their “holy” example.

Just one of these things could cause a Muslim to hate the United States.  A combination of them shows why the hate is so intense.  The United States of America is the number one enemy of Allah, the prophet Muhammad, and the religion of Islam.   To them, we are the “Great Satan,” a term coined by the Ayatollah Khomeini in November, 1979.
